Supernatural is a T.V. show on the (now) CW, which is on it’s eighth season. It’s all about the supernatural and demons, ghosts, the paranormal etc. Let’s start with the two protagonists, Dean and Sam, who may I just say are absolutely GORGEOUS. (Dean is my favorite!) Both brothers, they lost their mother at an early age and their father became a ‘hunter’ which is someone who actively searches out these ‘supernatural’ events and helps eradicate this evil. Eventually his sons were also raised (its more of a family tradition as the show goes on) to complete these tasks meeting shifters, vampires, werewolves etc.
I’ve been watching the show for about 8 years now, and each season has about 22-24 episodes each. Each episode is an hour long, and usually comprises of one main plot while progressing the story. It’s quite interesting if you’re into the supernatural and the Latin they use and ancient text is pretty head on. A lot of research goes into preparation and execution, making it as realistic as possible. (It depends on just HOW much you believe in).
Regardless, it’s a great show, and definitely worthy of mentioning. The twists and turns will sometimes even turn your stomach, and through thick and thin you will see the line of good and evil blurred, as Sam and Dean will do whatever they can to keep each other alive, even resorting to ‘supernatural’ means.
Without giving away too much, it also gives insight into heaven, hell and purgatory, and how not everything is as crystal clear as it is. Even angels have their wicked schemes…
